Last week, the Canadian Defence Foundation announced a very special recognition of Rear Admiral (Ret.) James J. Carey for his tremendous lifetime of work and support of Canada, and, Canada’s young men and women.  Admiral Carey serves as one of the Board of Directors for the CDF where he has been of superb support and assistance in all its efforts.  For all that, the foundation felt it appropriate and important that all of North America not only be aware of all that he has done for Canada over the past 40 years, but to also recognize the commitment he has made to his family and his foundation, the Admiral Carey Foundation, with a view to continuing that support in perpetuity.

“We in Canada wish to pay honour and respect to a Great American that we are fortunate to have as our ally and friend,” stated George Platsis, Vice-Chairman and Executive Director of the CDF. On June 5, 2012, the Aurora Foundation Board congratulated Admiral Carey for this special recognition, presenting him with a certificate to highlight this great honor.
