Just as the Aurora Foundation is committed to supporting student veterans in completing their higher education and successfully transitioning into the workforce, it is equally committed to honoring all of those who have served our great nation. As Memorial Day approaches, Aurora is proud to announce its support of the “Wounded Warriors Tribute” hosted by Beethoven Found on Sunday May 27, 2012 at the Great Meadow Event Center in The Plains, Virginia.

The family-friendly event will feature free food and beer, a free wine-tasting, an air show, a Polo exhibition, a classic car exhibition, a children’s area, and several musical performances, including the All Star Symphony Orchestra. The Aurora Foundation will be hosting a “Party Tent” with a few games for the kids, a special picnic area, and volunteer members eager to share Aurora’s mission with all who stop by.  Most importantly, however, the event is set to not only raise awareness for key veteran support organizations (including the Aurora Foundation), but to raise monetary support for these organizations as well. If you are in the area this Memorial Day weekend, please consider attending the “Wounded Warriors Tribute” and feel free to stop by the Aurora tent!

With over 30,000 attendees, it is one of Northern Virginia’s largest Memorial Day events and a special day for wounded veterans and their families. For more information, please log on to www.bfwwt.org.
